Model Colony Awards

The City of Ontario’s Model Colony Awards celebrated its 25th anniversary in 2025. These awards honor Ontario residents who own exceptionally maintained historical properties. For this project, I redesigned the Model Colony Awards logo and created assets for social media and print.

I was asked to use this logo for the 25th Model Colony Awards but quickly recommended we recreate the logo to commemorate the milestone year.

Based on the original Model Colony concept, I redesigned the logo with a modern look and vintage accents.

I developed the visual identity for the 25th Annual Model Colony Awards, using a sepia palette paired with a layout that’s both elegant and modern. The design strikes a balance between past and present, reflecting how tradition and progress continue to coexist.

HoltxPalm

This is one of five Model Colony videos that I led in collaboration with a team of three. We captured b-roll footage, as well as front and side interview angles, and handled all aspects of post-production. I was the lead editor on this particular video, which highlights Holt and Palm and animated the title sequence used in the series.

Bring Your Kids to Work Day

I designed these materials for the City of Ontario’s inaugural Bring Your Kids to Work Day in 2023. They helped guide over 100 employees and their children by outlining scheduled activities, providing location information, and identifying volunteers, who were easily recognized by their event t-shirts.

I submitted this design as a concept but due to cost, the City decided to go with an all white logo on a red shirt.

City of Ontario 2024 State of the City

The State of the City Business Address took place on March 27, 2024, at the Ontario Convention Center. The event showcased the City of Ontario as the Premier Community of the Inland Empire and emphasized its focus on investment, safety, innovation, community life, and opportunity.

I was responsible for developing the visual identity for the City of Ontario’s 2024 State of the City, with a focus on highlighting the City’s ongoing developments and future innovations. The event drew nearly 1,000 attendees, and the GIF collection I created for the campaign has collectively received over 3 million views on GIPHY.

L.A. COLORS

Below are a series of examples of product and display designs I created for my former employer, Beauty 21 Cosmetics which is the parent company for L.A. Colors.

L.A. Girl Pantone Eblast

This email was designed to celebrate 2022’s Pantone color of the year, Very Peri. The email was created to also promote L.A. Girl product in that color and how it could potentially be styled. Most images in this email were color corrected to match the Very Peri Pantone.

Out and Apout was a lip collection that I designed with creative direction from Beauty 21 Cosmetic’s product team. The product was exclusively sold at Dollar General and received some attention from makeup reviewers on TikTok.

TEVA

I was approached by a colleague of mine who works as Creative Director for TEVA to design a set of sustainability icons.

A few of the concepts were challenging to convey because I felt like they overlapped each other (i.e. bio based, recycled material, and recyclable). I wanted to make the meaning of each icon as clear as possible without compromising the simplicity of its design. After brainstorming various ideas I decided to send TEVA three different icon sets as seen in image 1 below.

After a few revisions the final icon set was based off of the first set of icons in the three options provided.

Cuater

Cuater is a performance golf brand that I worked for for two years. Its aesthetic is very clean, dark and masculine which is the opposite of who I am as a designer.

Molding myself to design within Cuater branding was a bit challenging at first but it didn’t take me very long to learn how to adapt and create clean, and engaging emails and social media assets.

These assets were designed to promote a giveaway collaboration to be advertised on Cuater’s Instagram feed and Instagram stories.

Alta Baja Market

Alta Baja Market (ABM) is a café, market, and michelada bar located in Downtown Santa Ana. I was approached by ABM to help design coasters and a coloring sheet to enhance the customer experience while dining in.

500 coloring sheets were printed as part of a coloring contest where the winner won a free michelada or dessert. Of the 500 sheets 350 were turned in resulting in a 70% usage rate.

Baja Wine Club

Baja Wine Club is a monthly subscription wine box by Alta Baja Market. I was asked to design a minimal logo for the club that would only be used for newsletters and stamps.

Sage Goddess

This is a self-initiated branding project that I decided to take up in attempt to take a rather out dated logo and make it more modern. For this project I decided to stick with the image of a feminine figure, only featuring the face and integrating symbols of healing (I.e. sage leaves, and the sun as a crown). For the color scheme, I chose to stick with contrasting dark green and gold, creating an earthy yet elegant motif.
